I belong.
I am me.
Don’t judge.
Just see.
Let me live.
Don’t hold me back.
I’m not fragile.
I won’t crack.
Just because,
You think you know.
You’ve cast me out.
And kept me low.
Please don’t hurt me.
Let me be.
For the first time,
I am free…

I am free to write a fabulous review!!
By lindylu
All Grace wants is to be free! Free from all the abuse and control she grew up with, so at the fist chance of freedom she jumped. Now she is in the real world no longer sheltered and she has to try to fit in but what if she doesn't want to?

I love Regina Bartley's books! She does a great job in telling a fabulous story. I loved this one because it was so sweet and it showed strength how she overcame her horrible situation. Death be to her dad! He was so terrible, and mean && evil.

I loved Grace! She was such an awesome character strong and courageous. She was different and wasn't going to change, either you liked her or you didn't. If you didn't she did not care, she just walked with her head held high. She befriends Kennedy and then meets her super hot basketball star brother, Jackson. But Jackson was so full of himself and even though he was attracted to the beautiful Grace her differences made him ashamed to be seen with her in public.

I loved Jackson too even though he was hot and cold it showed how he needed to be free too. Even though he wasn't abused he was under the bondage of popularity, having to keep up his image just so people don't talk about him. Being with Grace wasn't an option, he had this image to keep so her nonchalant perspective on life didn't fit with his hottie persona. Will Jackson stick with the status quo or will he give into his feelings and go with his heart.

A decent, if not particularly memorable, book
By Amazon Customer
This book shows the author's potential as a writer, but doesn't really stand out as a romance. Grace, the female protagonist, is an amazingly self-confident young woman, and I enjoyed reading her thoughts. Her fresh perspective on the world was a welcome contrast to the Debbie Downers that you sometimes find in this genre, especially when one considers her circumstances. Her relationship with Jackson, the male protagonist, lacked depth, but I couldn't tell if this was accidental, or an intentional depiction of how shallow first loves can sometimes be. The romance wasn't well-developed, and to be completely honest, a lot of the time Jackson kind of sucked. He had potential, but his lack of confidence and his habit of taking the easy way out, especially in contrast with Grace's strong sense of self and principles, made him less entertaining to read about.

As with many $0.99 books, this one definitely needed the help of an editor, but the errors in the text weren't so off-putting that I stopped reading.

A book about freedom and love that pulls heartstrings!!
By Lee Miranda
The thing about Regina is that this woman never fails to leave me wanting more with every novel of hers.

I am free is a story about freedom and love and friendship, and just like 15 Years To Life it is a story that stays with you.

Grace is someone I wish I could be. Strong, happy, does't care what others think abut her, and just... herself. A girl who always looked through the positives even though she went through hell. I loved how her character grew up and learned to enjoy how nice the world could actually be when you open your heart.

Jackson, oh my dear Lord Jackson. Firstly, I was happy that I finally got a Basketball player as a lead, and not a footballer or soccer player.
Secondly, though he was initially a jerk, he grew up into a lovable character who finally showed his real self!

Aunt Darcy, Kendall and Tucker - even Preston for that matter - were amazing characters. I really loved them all and the roles they played in Grace's life!

Regina, I just wanted to say finally that this book gets more than stars from me. You took a topic very close to my heart and shaped it into this beautiful story that I loved beyond proportions.

Thank you for I am free, thank you.
