Very enjoyable - good for the beach or the gym

I've never read any books by Zoey Dean before, so this was my introduction to her. She tells a good story in a conversational way which makes it fun and easy to read. I liked her writing a lot, and while the story did seem a lot like "The Devil Wears Prada" it had enough different twists to keep me interested. Definitely one of the better chick-lit books out there this summer, and worth a read if you enjoy stories like this. I give it four stars rather than five because it sort of dragged on a bit towards the end and didn't keep me interested the entire time. Still a good book, though!

I am not one to really get into books, but recently I had been watching the television series Privileged and saw that it was based upon this book. I read the book within 3 days and have read it 2 times over since then. Very funny, cute, romantic novel. Anyone regardless of age will love this book. Especially if you watch the show as well.

Mabie, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University since 1964, received his B.S degree form the University of Rochester, his M.S. degree from Cornell University, and his Ph.D. degree from Pennsylvania State University.From 1941 to 1960, Dr. Mabie was on the faculty of the Sibley School of Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University. From 1960 to 1964, he worked at Sandia Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was engaged in research and development related to nuclear weapons.In addition to his work in kinematics, Dr. Mabie is engaged in research on gears, torque characteristics of instrument ball bearings, environmental effects on the fatigue life of aluminum, and fretting corrosion of rolling element bearings. He has authored and coauthored many technical papers in theses fields. He is a licensed professional engineer and a Life Fellow of the Ame4rican Society of Mechanical Engineers.The first edition of Mechanisms and Dynamics of Machinery was published by John Wiley & Sons in 1957 and the second in 1963, both with the late F. W. Ocvirk as coauthor. The third edition was published in 1975 and an SI Version in 1978. This fourth edition has Charles F. Reinholtz as coauthor.Charles F. Reinholtz is currently Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, a position he has held since 1983. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Florida. He also worked for Burroughs Corporation as a design engineer in the Peripheral Products Group. Professor Reinholtz has been active in the area of Kinematics and mechanism design since 1976. He is a member of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, The American Society for Engineering Education, and Sigma Xi. He is also a member of Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma Honor Societies.

I enjoyed this book

I enjoyed this book. I sometimes like to read biographies that are written for younger readers because I learn about the person without having to wade through all of the less important info. Lazy I know but I learn about a lot of people who I never knew existed. Dr. Picotte was one of these people. It is amazing what all she did to become the first Native American doctor, especially during a time when Native Americans were not well thought of and had to fight twice as hard for everything. This book is very interesting and I recommend it for anyone who is interested in learning about a person who was known to only to a small few. Dr. Picotte fought hard for what she wanted and she earned every bit of it.
