The author is not an authority on Masonic information or history. He claims many things; religious beliefs/belonging various belief scenarios, all of which are not in line with becoming a member of any Masonic & it's affiliations (Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish or York Rite, Shriners, etc.) I honestly believe that the author did not obtain what he expected while a member of the Masonic bodies, so to "poor mouth it" is his way of restitution. Keep in mind the Shriners run many hospitals around the world, for children and not one pen in payment is asked for, many also providing accommodations (hotel, housing, food, etc) for the family while the child is seeking treatment. I hope & pray that the author does find what he seeks in regards to peace/religion/spiritual guidance & hope he can learns to exist, with those who may not have HIS views or beliefs but can find love in their heart for the whole world!

About the Author
Grant R. Osborne is Professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Short but sweet. I liked this quick read about step siblings who finally admit their love for each other and over come the differences in their personalities to discover that even though they have different methods of getting there-- they both really do want the same things.

Some hot sex scenes with a happy ending. What else do you need? Oh yeah! A rich, good looking step brother to sweep you off your feet!

It had a potential to be good but IMO it wasn't. The hero and heroine were interesting. Tanner was a different type of hero. He had no desire to be rich nor having a 9-5 office job. He was an outdoor kind of guy who did not care about material possessions. By contrast Maggie was the opposite. Due to her reaction to her upbringing, in order to feel secure she needed money. She was focused on doing well in school so when she graduated she could get a good job. I liked that Tanner was not a manhoe. While not a virgin he did not sleep around. He spent a lot of his time alone in the wilderness. Maggie was a virgin due to her lack of interest in other men because of her feelings for Tanner.

Unfortunately Maggie and Tanner's relationship was more of an outline than a story, as were their characters. I know that it is harder to do in shorter books but it can be done and it wasn't here. The book was a lot of telling than showing. They both supposedly loved each other forever but I did not feel it. They needed to spent more time together than they did. Too much of the book was spent either with them fighting or ignoring each
other or physically separated. They did not get together until the very end of the book. By that time it is too late for me to care if they got together. I had lost interest.

Also the book was a HFN as opposed to a HEA. Because most of the book they were not a couple and had a contentious relationship, to make it believable that they end up staying together HEA ending with an epilogue in years in the future would be better.

Amongst those producing theatrical prints were some of the greatest ukiyo-e artists of the century, including Kunisada, Kuniyoshi, and finally Kunichika, who introduced dramatic new framing to the format and persisted until the very last days of the century, when prints were finally usurped by the new medium of photography. KABUKI theatre first arose in 17th century Japan as a bawdy, populist alternative to the traditional Noh theatre of masks, which had flourished since the 1300s. Originally staged by female performers and prostitutes, kabuki soon became an all-male preserve, with female roles in plays and dance-dramas being taken by female impersonators known as onnagata. Many early kabuki plays originated in the bunraku (“puppet”) theatre (founded in Osaka in 1684). Significant productions from this period included Hinin No Adauchi (“The Outcast’s Revenge”, 1664), a slaughter-vengeance drama; Shitenno Ochigodachi (1673), which introduced the violent aragoto acting style; Daifukucho Sankai Nagoya (1697), which featured the first-ever shibaraku scene; and Keisei Asama-ga-Dake (“The Asamagadake Courtesan”, 1698), featuring a vengeful female ghost. Other plays were quickly fashioned to cash in on sensational news stories of the day, such as double suicides or murder rampages. Among the first most notable playwrights were Chikamatsu Monzaemon, Namiki Sosuke, and Sakurada Jisuke. And the kabuki theatre was not without its real-life dramas and rivalries; it is reported that in 1704, for example, the actor Ikushima Hanroku was executed for the onstage murder of Ichikawa Danjuro I, progenitor of perhaps the most illustrious acting lineage in kabuki history.
By the first decades of the 19th century, kabuki theatre – as exemplified by the works of playwright Tsuruya Nanboku IV – was renowned for its frequent displays of torture, mutilation, swordplay and supernatural horror.

Tracker

Tracker centers on Alex O'Roark, FBI Special Agent whose life is changed forever when he gets infected with werewolf blood. This supernatural drama is dark and suspenseful, its story is really well thought out with a unique perspective about the werewolf fiction. The character development is very interesting as you read about Alex's relationships and witness Alex's transformation become more than just a physical one. Werewolf myths have been around for centuries but this modern werewolf story is a must read!

Tracker is the favorite comic book I’ve read!� It has great illustrations and has an intriguing plot. It takes a unique perspective on the werewolf genre and makes it fresh.� Immediately, Alex is thrown into the action when he is infected with werewolf blood. This gives him “superhuman” abilities for short bursts of time but endangers those around him. Alex has a hard time controlling the animal inside and it sometimes escapes. He must learn to harness this power to track down the most evasive serial killer of all time. I really enjoyed Tracker and I’m going to read the next one when it comes out!

Prior to Tracker I hadn't been a fan of werewolf mythology but after picking it up I couldn't get over how well-done the art was and how much the story gauged my interest. Tracker puts an interesting spin on the concept of werewolves in every day life and wonderfully integrates it into the story of an FBI agent caught in a love triangle between his fianc� and partner, all the while dealing with his new status as a lycanthrope. It's an original take on the workplace drama and it had me hooked until the very end. I'm definitely looking forward to future issues!
